An intense ruby red in color, the wine’s nose shows ripe red fruit along with sustained sensations of vanilla and spices. The palate is ample and enveloping, balanced and vigorous with soft and silky tannins and the finish and aftertaste and long and persistent.

Blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Marchese Antinori Riserva is produced exclusively in better vintages and solely from the finest grapes of the family’s proprietary vineyards: Tignanello, Badia a Passignano, and Pèppoli at Mercatale Val di Pesa in the Chianti Classico appellation production zone. An Antinori family’s historic label, since the 2011 vintage Marchese Antinori has been produced with grapes exclusively from the Tignanello vineyard. A wine that fully expresses the quality and elegance of Sangiovese grapes grown in this area.
Cherry, black currant and raspberry flavors are at the heart of this red, flanked by vanilla, toasty oak, mineral and tobacco elements. There is a beam of ripe fruit and dusty tannins right through the long finish. Wine Spectator – 93
