The 2016 Román is a gorgeous, Zinfandel-based red. Bright, plump and exuberant, the 2016 offers striking depth as well as freshness. This is an incredibly delicious, inviting wine. Even better, it is a tremendous value. Petite Syrah and Barbera round out the blend. Succulent red berry, spice, leather and floral notes add to the wine’s silky personality.

Román Cisneros, our Cellar Master and employee of thirty years, embodies the heart and commitment that creates our wines. This Zinfandel is from our vineyards in Alexander Valley, McDowell Valley and the Yorkville Highlands. Made in Román’s favorite style, it is rich and lush with powerful structure. He unknowingly was instrumental in the blending and production of this wine. Before learning what the wine was to be named, he told us that it had replaced Christo as his new favorite house wine.
