Tasting : Dark colour. Intense aromas of cherries (Burlat) and small dark olives. Well-structured, ample and complex, true to its terroir. Very long and fleshy finish with well integrated tannins. Outstanding aging potential.
Food pairing : Game (pheasant), poultry and all the classic cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).

This grows mid-slope, on the north side of Beaune, a 9.4-acre vineyard above Cent-Vignes. It’s a lovely, complex 2016, the wine’s power apparent from the purple-black color to the rich layers of flavor. As dark, gamey and meaty as it may be, the wine is also bursting with energy, needing cellar time to distribute all its energy and mature toward harmony. Wine and Spirits – 93
