100% Chardonnay
Vineyards located in the Côte de Beaune for 75% and from the hill side of the Yonne area for 25%. Grown in mainly limestone soils and the age of the vines are around 35 years. Whole bunch pressed, lightly crushed. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrels, “sur lies” without “batonnage”.
Sensuously rich on the nose with toasty nut aromas, this Old World Burgundian Chardonnay is full-bodied and vibrant with ripe apple, lemon curd, toasty almond and hazelnut flavours finishing on a lingering tropical fruit note with great acidity for food. Pair with roast chicken.
Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes with lemon sauce, seafood, oysters on the half shell with strawberry mignonette.
