Clear, fresh and mineral in harmony with fine fruit aromas. Concentrated on the palate with a creamy texture. Classic pinot notes. Long-lasting finish, great aging potential. A wine with a lot of complexity, concentration and structure.

The grapes were picked in October. 100% healthy grapes were gently ground and macerated on the aroma and mineral-rich berry skins for several hours. Then the must was fermented slowly and cool spontaneously so that the fruity aromas of the wine could fully express themselves. A gentle aging in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks with long yeast storage followed after fermentation.

Markus Molitor took over his eponymous family winery in 1984, the eighth generation to continue their tradition. With the beautiful town of Bernkastel in the backdrop, they have fifteen steep sites along the Mosel River devoted mostly to Riesling, which is very much their raison d’etre. At Weingut Molitor, Markus practices traditional winemaking: they rely on ambient yeasts for fermentation, and mature the wines in large old oak casks. These are wines of the very highest order.
