Blend of Nero d’Avola, Petite Verdot, Syrah, and other varietals.
Intense ruby red colored, Mille e una Notte 2017 is characterized by an ample bouquet, with fruity notes (blackberry and black mulberry), balsamic (liquorice),and scents of cocoa and vanilla. The palate is soft and embracing, surprising with an extraordinary silky tannin. A remarkable long persistence on the finish.
The enticing nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, cardamon and anise with hints of old balsamic vinegar and smoke, pulls you into this very Mediterranean red. In spite of the serious tannin structure and rather dry palate, it’s beautifully proportioned. Complex dried-lemon and caper character at the long, precise finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2023.
