The Poli Grappa Sarpa Oro di Poli Special Edition is produced in Schiavon, near Bassano del Grappa, the most typical area of Veneto for the production of grappa. It is obtained from pomace (or “sarpe”) of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, distilled according to an ancient artisanal method, in small batches, with copper still and discontinuous cycle steam boilers. Subsequently this grappa is kept in small French oak barrels in the underground cellars of the distillery.
Of an intense golden rooster color, Poli Grappa Sarpa Oro brings to the nose aromas of exotic fruit and cedar, enriched with hints of sweet spices including licorice and vanilla. The taste is complex, enveloping, elegant and with great personality.
