Named the “Best American Whiskey” by Food & Drink magazine, this 10 year old single barrel bourbon from Michter’s distillery in Shivley, Kentucky, is released in very limited quantities each year. Matured in fire-charred, new American white oak barrels and chill filtered before bottling at a strength of 47.2% abv. Classically caramel in colour, the nose is sweet yet grainy with honey and corn bread, cream soda and dry grass. The palate balances cream and spice, toffee sweetness mingling with earthy notes, before a lively finish reminiscent of cherry cola with lingering spices.
