Superb vineyard site on the rump of the “Mont Rachet” above the Montrachet vineyards at a height of 350m. Perfect south-east exposition. The vineyard of “Champs Gain” has a broken clay limestone soil with a lot of pebbles and rocks in the topsoil. As the soil is porous and on a slope, water drains freely from the vineyard.
Sumptuous toasty nose with ripe citrus and stone fruits. Rich, plump and full-bodied palate with a backbone of acidity to give length and poise. Long, oaky, sherbetty finish. Decanter – 91
