  • Description

Blend of 52.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47.5% Merlot.

Not to be confused with Les Ormes de Pez, the Château De Pez is actually the oldest domaine in St-Estèphe. The Pontac family, who also created Haut-Brion, gave the domaine its vineyards back in the fifteenth century. The estate now has 59 acres under vine, dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

This firmly tannic wine boasts solid structure and density. It has powerful concentration, due to very low yields. The fruit is ripe, driven by notes of black plum and berry. This is a wine with a long-term future. Wine Enthusiast – 92
