Patrick Piuze Chablis “Terroir de Courgis” 2016


Courgis is from a single vineyard on the left bank with clay topsoil on top of Kimmeridgian limestone bedrock. It’s typically the most weighty (think ripe, round fruit) of the Terroir wines.

Lovely flavours with stony fruit elements balanced by gentle starfruit characters. Well balanced with round finish. More clay than limestone in the vineyards here and the flavours are rich and deep with firm minerality. Long finish.

Muffato Della Sala 2014


The 2014 Muffato della Sala shows a lively and brilliant golden yellow color. The nose is intense and complex with perceptible notes of citrus fruit along with delicate sensations of peaches, dried apricots, and saffron. The palate is enveloping, but not to excess, with light notes of iodine and a very long continuity and persistence. Although still young, it is balanced, a wine destined to evolve over time and increase its aromatic complexity.

Pale golden colour. Impressive mineral character from the terroir where the grapes are grown. The Atlantic influence of this D.O. leaves its mark with notes of sea minerals that open out on a depth of floral sensations and citrus fruit. Delicious flavours of pears, white peaches and nectarines mingle together confirming the unmistakable character of the Albariño grape. A white wine of distinction.

Marchese Antinori Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2012

The grapes, grown exclusively on the various Antinori properties in Chianti Classico, were carefully selected and hand-picked into small packing cases, then spread out manually onto the reed drying mats of the Tignanello estate. Here they were left to dry until the end of the month of December and, at the end of this process of natural drying, were softly pressed to maintain all of their structural and aromatic characteristics. The must went directly into small oak barrels, coopered from various types of wood and from 13 to 52 gallons (50 to 200 liters) in capacity. The fermentation of the must was a long and gradual one and stopped on its own, leaving a certain residual sugar in the wines. The wine remained in the barrels for approximately three years and was then assembled and bottled at 15° alcohol.

A very fresh nose, both lively and intense. Instantly aromatic and reminiscent of citrus fruit, especially grapefruit, closely followed by fresh apricots.

The touch is silky-smooth on the palate, and one finds the full range of racy freshness that was noticeable on the nose. It feels just as crisp as a fresh apricot. The volume then grows gradually, producing mangolike flavours.

Bramito 2017


The first vintage of Bramito to be produced was the 1994. The Castello della Sala estate, purchased by the Antinori family in 1940, is situated some 10 miles (18 kilometers) from the city of Orvieto and is a very interesting example of medieval military architecture. The micro-climate of the property, on average cool for central Italy, is perfect for the production of white wines and of Pinot Noir .
