Raimonda Barbera d’Alba DOC 2014


The colour is deep ruby-red when young, it tends to garnet-red on ageing. It has a rather intense, characteristic nose which is flowery and fruity at the same time, with nice light overtones of wood, spices and vanilla. The flavour is full, persistent, nicely dry and velvety. The wine is already perfect to drink two years after the vintage. Its character and personality will be completed by a further period of ageing in the bottle.

This is the sweetest of all Ports. It is the liquid content of the little fermented must (the so-called “lágrima”) and therefore has a fairly high sugar content – around 136 grams per litre.

LBV comes from one single year and one single harvest.
Whereas its richer cousin, the Vintage, is bottled in the second year, this wine is bottled in the fourth year.
Smoother than the Vintage, more developed and easier to drink. It is a powerful, defiant, full-bodied and harmonious wine.
It is a wine familiar with the flavours of chocolate and cheese. After the bottle is opened it remains at its best for a further 15 to 30 days, if properly stored.
It is a wine that is not filtered and can therefore either be drunk immediately or be left forgotten in a cellar, developing further complexity.

Ripasso Valpolicella DOC Classico Superiore Giuseppe Campagnola 2015


Vinification of fresh grapes, followed by a 10 days maceration on the skins. Racking, then the wine remain until February in inox and cement tanks. In February of the following year, the wine referments (“Ripasso technique”) on the fresh pomace left over from the just-completed Recioto and Amarone fermentation. Racking and obtaining of the “Ripasso”.

Intense ruby red colour. Spicy bouquet with intense aromas of ripe cherry and jam. Dry, full, soft flavour in the mouth, with a very pleasant bitter finish.

Crisp and ripe, citrus, apples and lemon, almonds and smoked hazelnuts. Hints of mineral and good freshness.  Fresh and forward, nice richness to the mid-palate, very classic in its definition. Lots of ripe fruits, almonds, some delicate oak, and a light smokiness.  A complete wine with nice mineral and roundness. Good intensity, fresh with a nice volume.

Tasting notes

San Giovanni della Sala shows a light straw color with greenish highlights. On the notes, pleasurable notes of tropical fruit fuse with light mineral sensations. The palate is noteworthy for its balance between structure and freshness, a fine savory character, and an attractive persistence of flavors of yellow fruit.
