Duas Quintas Reserva 2012

It is a meticulous selection of the best vintage grapes from Quinta de Ervamoira and Quinta dos Bons Ares that is used to produce this wine.
Its vinification is made vineyard-by-vineyard and variety-by-variety. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in new oak casks. It is then bottled at Bons Ares, where it matures for one year.

Grapes varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca.

Pilheiros Grande Escolha

Pilheiros is the portuguese name given to the niches located into the walls supporting the terrace, where in past time the young vine plant growed, kept out from the sun, before to be replanted on the terrace. The vines bearing this name reflect the long growing tradition in this region.
Pilheiros Grande Escolha is made from three blends of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz and is an extremely tasty, powerfull and elegant wine.

Ramos Pinto “Lágrima” White Port

This is the sweetest of all Ports. It is the liquid content of the little fermented must (the so-called “lágrima”) and therefore has a fairly high sugar content – around 136 grams per litre.

Ramos Pinto Late Bottled Vintage 2013

LBV comes from one single year and one single harvest.
Whereas its richer cousin, the Vintage, is bottled in the second year, this wine is bottled in the fourth year.
Smoother than the Vintage, more developed and easier to drink. It is a powerful, defiant, full-bodied and harmonious wine.
It is a wine familiar with the flavours of chocolate and cheese. After the bottle is opened it remains at its best for a further 15 to 30 days, if properly stored.
It is a wine that is not filtered and can therefore either be drunk immediately or be left forgotten in a cellar, developing further complexity.

Ramos Pinto Porto 10 Years Quinta Ervamoira

Its body and its richness of flavour transport us to the place where it was created – “Quinta de Ervamoira”.
It is in this mystical, biblical landscape that this wine is extracted from the schist, from the silence, for our delight.

Ramos Pinto Porto Tawny

Its original red colour gives way to amber tones, its flavour is enriched by a combination of nuts, dried fruits and the aromas of red fruits – cherries, plums, blackberries and raspberries – and a semi-oxidizing harmonious bouquet is formed.

Ramos Pintos Porto 30 Years

Harmonising these old wines, which are full of personality and character, is not an easy task. In the tasting room, decisions are very difficult.
Here nature gives place to knowledge, to a serene and wise wine, which, like a kind old man, tells grandiose stories to the young.
Earthly passions give way to volatile, esterified, wood-scented ambiences, free from the schist, from the redness.
It is a dive into an ethereal, limpid world, performed at the unique and constant rhythm of a Port Wine Cellar.

Tawny 20 Years Quinta do Bom Retiro

The ageing and maturing experience in the wood change its colour. The red shades give place to brick and yellow colours, to the tones of a sunset.
It is an oenological creation from several different lots. Wines are easy to match when they are young but as they grow older the matching process becomes more difficult. Greater knowledge and fine tuning from both sides is required so that, over time, a perfect and long-lasting harmony is reached. Just as it happens with people.
