Le Serre Nuove Dell Ornellaia 2015

64% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot

“Le Serre Nuove dell’ Ornellaia 2015 perfectly represents its exceptional vintage, combining an ideal balance of elements in a way that rarely happens; a balance of ripeness, substance and a particular pleasantness. With an intense colour and youthful appearance, its intense and ripe fruity aroma with subtle spicey and toasted highlights are detected on the nose. Well-rounded and satin-smooth on the palate, great texture and harmoniously balanced, with a succulent fruitiness which ends with a zesty finish with no sharp edges, freshened by balsamic notes.”

Le Volte Dell’Ornellaia 2014 Toscana IGT

The different varietals were fermented separately in small steel tanks to maintain their varietal characteristics intact. The alcoholic fermentation was followed by malolactic fermentation, again in steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 10 months, partly in barrique used for Ornellaia and partly in cement tanks, to obtain the perfect balance between tannic structure and an expression of fresh fruit.

Marchese Antinori Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2012

The grapes, grown exclusively on the various Antinori properties in Chianti Classico, were carefully selected and hand-picked into small packing cases, then spread out manually onto the reed drying mats of the Tignanello estate. Here they were left to dry until the end of the month of December and, at the end of this process of natural drying, were softly pressed to maintain all of their structural and aromatic characteristics. The must went directly into small oak barrels, coopered from various types of wood and from 13 to 52 gallons (50 to 200 liters) in capacity. The fermentation of the must was a long and gradual one and stopped on its own, leaving a certain residual sugar in the wines. The wine remained in the barrels for approximately three years and was then assembled and bottled at 15° alcohol.
